Speed test results anyone?

I would be interested in hearing anyone's numbers using Ookla's FCC Test. Best I've gotten is 0.73 Mbps down, 0.35 up. That's the best; it's usually more like 0.5 up, 0.2 down. Lots of variation. Sometimes up is better than down.

I'm in an urban area, 5 solid bars and 3G.

Test results will vary widely from place to place. You may be in a major market for USCC, so your area is more likely to get the "latest and greatest" update goodies before the rest of us poor schmucks in the "minors".

It would be difficult to gather any meaningful data from random people posting speed test results.

You would need to know a lot of variables for each test, too, in order to even attempt an apples to apples discussion.

I would just like to know what kind of range there is. 0.5 Mbps download seems ridiculously slow.

That seems to be a little on the slow side, but still in a reasonable range. I have tested both Sprint and Verizon in La Crosse, WI, and have ranged anywhere from .50 Mbps to 1.13 Mbps down depending on signal strength.

Change your units to kbps to make yourself feel better...

Just wait until USCC enables 4G. Then these stats will be mediocre. xD
