Apps Speed up headset button(s)

Hi all,

I am using a headset button to trigger an event in an app. Problem is there is almost half a second delay between me pressing the button and the click being registered. I think this is because the system waits to ensure there is not a double click before sending the click to the app.

How can we tell the system to send the button press straight away without waiting? I need the instant response.

Update: Delay is happening on HTC Desire 510. Samsung Galaxy S3 has no delay.
