So I've had a Sprint SPH-D710 Samsung Galaxy SII for almost a year, I bought it used, and several months ago I replaced the stock battery with a QCell Extended Battery. My phone is rooted and I am running 4.1.2. I also use SetCPU, if that matters.
The problem started yesterday when, after charging all night (while powered down), the phone was completely dead, wouldn't turn on, and was unresponsive even when plugged into a wall charger. I got a new battery from a friend, however, and it was fully charged and then my phone worked fine.
I woke up this morning and the same exact thing happened and it's really pissing me off right now. I left it charging all day and it got to 35%, then I restarted my phone and it's literally at 0%.
The weird thing is, I know if I left my phone all night and didn't plug it in, it would now be higher than at 0%. Maybe both the batteries are bricked, but that seems like an insanely rare coincidence.
A new battery is in the mail and I should get it Tuesday, so I guess if it the battery then it will work, but is that the issue here? Could my phone be ruining batteries?
