Spica/Galaxy Lite 2.1 update released!

It can be flashed with Odin, follow the Leshak guide "how to get root" from the link above.

But this is not an official "release" build. It is a developer build which seems to be lacking important pieces - specifically Market. Also, slightly unstable as things like calendar crashes.

This is only for Galaxy Spica i5700, no other phone. If it works on T-mobile I do not know. The APN-settings are not predefined in this build so you need to write them down.

All settings, contacts, etc will be lost!

Where would it be found when its officially out?

And another question, i have a XXJA1 one, would the updates come at different times for the different 'models'? Had that issue with my nokia, f*****g annoying

Ref the missing app store etc, cant these be copied from an older Samsung ROM, or another 2.x rom?

If that's all that's missing, I may take the plunge!

It is probably possible, perhaps with apps2sd and then reinstall the apps from your sd-card. I had problems with APNs not working so no internet access, but normal phone/dialing works.

When I've had dreaded gmail sync issues, deleting com.android.providers.settings, then rebooting with the SIM card removed allowed the phone to recreate the APN table.

Then, when you insert your SIM card, and reboot, the APN's should be reloaded from your SIM. They do on my SIM.

Can anyone verify if this version of android has multitouch for the Spica? Or is multitouch ever going to come to the Spica?

Currently choosing between the Eve and this. Any reccomendations?

Did not for me afaik, but then I think it isn't a true 2.1 release anyways but a 2.0/2.x beta. It was not very stable on my spica.
