Spot the iPhone fanboy :)

You know its not that bad that the apple fanboys are so mad about the EVO. Just wait till HTC EVO2...iPhone what lol

Heck my kid is a FanBoy and I showed him my EVO today and he could not stop grinning. He wants one.

If you're not familiar with SlickDeals, you're definitely missing out. Anyways, found something well worth reading :)

HTC EVO available through walmart letstalk for 174.99+FS - Page 2 - SlickDeals.net Forums

How do you figure this guy is an iPhone fanboy? Maybe he's a Blackberry fanboy or something. Also, he's pointing out some legitimate issues with the EVO. Maybe he bought one, got pissed off about those problems and took it back.

This "Let's constantly rag on Apple/iPhone and call everyone who doesn't like the EVO an iPhone fanboy!" shit is so ******ed. Sometimes, people can just not like the phone and have a legitimate reason.

I agree there are to many clueless rants against people who point out legit reasons the Evo is not all it was hyped up to be. I left my iPhone for the Evo because of ATT and their data plans, and what is now becoming more of a novelty in 4G. Love Apple or hate em, they build a very solid and quality phone. The battery door on the Evo is a joke, flimsy and doesn't even snap in flush with the back. The screen light leakage and the wifi issues add to the list of WTF? Items on my Evo. I've owned all 3 iPhones and never had a single issue, although I work with a guy that had some home button issues.

All that aside, the reason I think many iPhone users switched was to get away from ATT, not because the iPhone was a bad device. Just as Android phones get rooted, jail breaking an iPhone opened up wifi hotspot type tethering, a version of multitasking etc...

I find the iOS more polished and smoother in operation, while the Android OS has the unlimited flexibility out of the box to be customized how I want. Both have their pluses, both have their negative aspects. I think the people constantly bashing one tech vs another more often than not just show their ignorance of how things work and haven't even bothered using both devices.

Bottom line ATT vs Sprints approach to pricing, tethering and the coverage where I live. I still do the same things with my Evo as I did with my iPhone. Calls, text, wifi hotspot/tether, news, stock, email etc.. Both very capable devices.

Last I checked, most first revision products have a few issues. Hence, there are three iterations of the EVO out in the wild. I have a rev.3 and guess what, it doesn't have glass separating issues, light leakage or a floppy battery door.

Iphones when first released were plagued with problems too. So, ranting aside, this kind of expected for a product that is less than half a month old. Also, Android isn't near as old as the Iphone OS. Simple as that. There is catching up to be done and if Google would unify the OS across all platforms and remove all the carrier bloatware, Android owners in general might have a better user experience.

Coming from the WinMo 6.1 and 6.5, Android is worlds better.

Way to miss the point completely.
