Sprint Billing Question

Hi I'm planning on buying a Evo tomorrow. I get paid tomorrow. But I'm going to order it online so I can get my student discount applied right away.

My Question is does Sprint seriously charge you the full amount of the phone instead of the Instant savings Price of $299. Im asking because I want to pay with my debit card and I don't want to hit with an overdraft fee.

If I order it from Wirefly which Has it at $149.99 and then register it with my discount can I call Sprint to get the activation waived.
