Root [Sprint/Cricket] Help!

Just rooted, SU works and grants root access and everything but I can't get a recovery installed because the phone locks up and reboots after 30 seconds or after of booting. How can I fix this.

I followed the guide exactly and go to step 12 on the xda thread but when rebooting to recovery it said android recovery not CWM recovery so I'm trying to install recovery manually.

Please help. It's my brother's phone and he's getting pissed.

Since you're rooted, install GooManager from the Play Store, press menu, select 'install open recovery zip', yes, and it should reboot on it's own
