Root [Sprint/Cricket] Kingo and 4.4.2 not working?

Previously, I was able to use Kingo on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Sprint) with no issue. Then, I had to exchange my phone because of a connector issue. The new phone they gave me came with 4.4.2 and when I tried Kingo, it won't root? Anyone know of a simple solution? I liked Kingo because it also made it so easy to "unroot" if need be.

I'm not a techie so I appreciate anyone's help on this!

Thanks guys. I finally got kingo to work by restoring my computer to an earlier date of all things?

But, I have 4.4.2 and I can't find a single wifi tether app that works. Any suggestions?
