Root [Sprint/Cricket] Pictures and camera

My s3 is slow to open the camera and opening up my camera album why is this???

Hmmmm. Have you tried wiping the camera apps cache and data? To do so open settings/applications/all/camera.apk. Once there, there should be options for wiping the cache files and such. Plus, are you rooted/romed? If so let me know... there's a lot more you can do at that point. If your romed than which one? This info can help me help you faster and more accurately.

How do u root the phone? And what does rooting the phone do

Root is like having a windows pc but only being able to use the guest desktop. You can't install stuff, you can't make system changes and ya can't manually upgrade. Root unlocks your phones potential.

No it was a comparison. Idk root it and put a rom on it. Other than that you could try my first idea. Clear the cache and data in settings app under apps

No those are stored on internal sd.

You could try a factory reset. But I'd advise to backup everything possible first. Even SMS with an app called SMS backup and recovery. All call logs and texts and settings will get wiped. (Not pics and music tho) but this is the official solution from Samsung.
