Root [Sprint/Cricket] Question about keeping apps after rom install!

This may be in the wrong place, but I've searched forums and search results, were needless to say, in-informational, lol. What I would like to know, is what is the best method for keeping apps and/or re-installing them when ever I install a new ROM. I know you can not wipe the data, but I also know a lot of Roms wont work correctly if you dont wipe data and delvik. So what is the better way to get them on there without having to download from play store?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I figured, but thought there would be a way to keep em on sd card or similar to.make.reinstalling easier.

Actually, Titanium Backup does just that. There's a feature (it's new to me, cause I never tried it till the other day) that allows you to create an "update.zip" of all your apps + data that you store on your SD card. When you flash a new rom, you then flash update.zip and all your apps are back.

I do that just lable that folder . And think when u do a reset or data wipe or reflash any rom u can just put those apps on quickly without signing into the playstore quick move but you need a good class 10 sd card .

With this titanium feature u will need apps and apps data to flash the zip . If he has a unzipped file with these apps that would be quicker . No zips just apps

I personally don't use the .zip option so I can't really comment on that.
And the reason I don't is because as time goes on, there are some apps I don't use anymore and just don't need to restore them.
That's when I can go thru all of them in TB before I batch restore them. (Batch restore is in the Pro version only....otherwise, it's a one-by-one app restore)

I tried the update.zip feature the other day, it's a batch operation that let's you choose which apps to backup. I would not create a real backup until I'm ready to do a factory reset, so that it's current.

Could just schedule it to do batch backups every couple of days and automatically only keep the latest backup

I just checked the schedule section, I don't see an option to add creating the update.zip file automatically. Did I miss something?

I dont use the zip file, because i think that features really more hassle than its worth. Also, depending on the rom i just flashed there's different apps I'll need installed. I just do a batch restore

Alternatively, you could restore data from a nandroid

Yea, batch restore on the GS3 works great, it sucked on the EVO, since you could only restore so much before you had to use app2sd to free up space.
