Root [Sprint/Cricket] S3 faila to connect to google search. "network error"

HI.
I recently began experiencing something strange
While every other network-associated application is running fine on my rooted Galaxy S3. when I try to open google search, that has always worked before, suddenly I get a small black error message at the bottom of the screen saying, "Network error. Check your network connections and try again"

P.S. The Google play store says "no connection. Retry" as well. but everything else network related, works!

Does anyone have a solution this this?

thanks!

PM

Sorry for the misspelling. I couldn't edit it! I am part Italian anyway

This sounds like a bad version of gapps. If your rooted.. try a different gapps package. If not maybe a factory wipe. I've had this happen to me too. If all else fails. Try updating anything to do with google.
