Hey you guys. so it finally occurred that I dropped my S3 in the face-down position, (I normally use the trident phone cover, but alas, that was not the case, pardon the pun) and now I am in the following situation
1: I have installed Kies software on my PC running windows 7
2: It sees the phone correctly and asks for my unlock code
3:With screen smashed, I cannot enter 4 -digit code & access phones w/kies
any ideas on how I can recover my data and work around this issue?
note: when I press the power button on my phone the entire digitizer area is dead, but the two bottom phone buttons ("back" and "Menu" show a dim light)
BONUS ROUND QUESTION: If the bottom lights up, (the non digitizer area on the phone) and it vibrates on startup, and Kies sees it on my PC and asks for an unlock code, is it safe to assume that the only problem is the screen, ad that getting it replaced is a better idea than scrapping the phone?
thanks!
