Root [Sprint/Cricket] Unlock phone to be used on another carrier

I wanna find out if there is a way to unlock the gs3 to be used on another carrier like Verizon. I've seen some video on how to do it but its all for the gsm gs3 with sim card not the cdma model (sph-l710). Please help and thanks in advance

Do you already have the phone? If not then just buy the Verizon model, or trade for it.

Yeah I already have the sprint gs3. I was just thinking of unlocking it to be able to sell it better. Because as it is right now im thinking of selling it for like $320 but if I can get it unlock I can try and sell it for more like $450
