So let me get this straight, Sprint is going the LightSquared for their 4g LTE service, and LightSquared is in a heated battle with GPS because their services causes interference with most GPS devices.
LightSquared's answer is for the GPS issue is to have filters installed on all the units and to put filters on new units being produced. There are millions of handheld, aviation, marine, and auto gps currently in use that COULD become unreliable if the current LightSquared proposal goes through. New units I could see with filters, but the current stuff, no way!
So what do you think the likelihood of LightSquared actually winning the battle. Hmm??? lets see get a Sprint 4g LTE network or lose GPS? Once again Sprint finds its way on the wrong set of tracks.
My thoughts are Sprint won't be rolling out LTE until the end of next year. Hopefully they figure it out sooner than later.
