I finally got my update from Sprint. But so far I haven't noticed anything different. I secretly hoped the default only action would be gone... lol
Yeah,that default,or,lack thereof,is a PITA.
It's the proverbial straw that broke the camels' back for yours truly.
The Note5 is one of the snappiest phones I've used to date & the display is unmatched, but,I'm missing swappable batteries/SD Card slot & I-R Blaster,(more so than I had imagined) that were present on many other past devices.
I made-do w/those shortcomings & still enjoyed the phone, but, the default FUBAR is a glaring WTF that should have been remedied months ago,& apparently, they're OK w/the Status Quo.
If it were briefly mentioned here,I'd understand Samsung brushing it off, but, with little to no searching the subject,I've seen this mentioned several times in other forums & reviews.
As soon as the LG V-10 is in-stock locally,I'm switching up.
I've used some recent LG devices & they still have the default functioning properly.
Testing a demo after work today, but,my mind is virtually already set on switching up.
Hope to see some fine-tuning on the next in the Note series, along w/an Active/ruggedized variant available to all.
