sprint to virgin mobile

Can I buy any sprint phone and use it on virgin mobile, because my HTC evo 3d is a sprint and I use it on cm
 
Hello and welcome to Android Forums.

Yes and No.

You can use a Sprint phone but you have to buy a Virgin Mobile 'donor' phone to get a legal serial number. Your old Sprint phone needs to be flashed over to Virgin with account info. The donor phone will no longer connect to cell towers afterwards.

Buying this extra phone normally makes this procedure cost prohibitive.
