Apps SQLite mySQL

Hi,

i don't know why but i can't find any good resource for me to start with.

this is my problem:

i have a php site that fills my mySQL database and i want to connect to that database with Android application. Since Android uses SQLite i'm not even sure that is posible.
If not then please tell me how to sync my online SQLite database file with the one stored locally on Android phone.
