Squaretrade Warranties

So I'm getting ready to purchase a new phone and I've been looking for a way to insure my investment.

In the past I've had both Carrier-Based Insurance and Insurance through the store I purchased the device at.

Has anyone ever used Squaretrade to insure their phones? Is it a good program? How does it work?

Thanks.

I've never had to file a claim but hear it is easy and quick.
You can go to the squaretrade website and pick out the warranty you want.
You'll need to send a copy of your receipt afterwards (email works).
I got one for a nook.

I guess the only downside to a Squaretrade Warranty is that you go without a phone while you wait for your money. Whereas with Carrier-based or store-based Insurance programs you would not have your phone-coverage lapse.

EDIT: Not really, you could buy a new device and then just pay yourself back I guess.
