The Sr. Android Application Developer, as a critical part of the Application Development team, takes the role of technical leader and mentor for the software development organization. This role is responsible for working closely with the business unit and development team to develop new system capabilities as defined within the technical and/or functional specifications.
This role is responsible for:
- Leading small, intermediate and large size projects.
- Designing system solutions.
- Developing custom applications and modifying existing applications to meet distinct and changing business requirements.
- Handling coding, debugging and documentation.
- Supporting the QA group in developing test plans and test scripts.
- Providing post-implementation and ongoing production support as an on-call programmer.
All qualified candidates must possess the following core qualifications:
- A commitment to producing top quality, well designed and flexible custom applications.
- Very strong programming ability, with great attention to detail and design.
- Demonstrated ability to design and assist in the timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Strong written, oral and visual communication skills.
- Forward-thinking with strong business sense.
- Dedication to a collaborative working style and the ability to work well in small teams.
- Willingness to participate in after-hour and on-call support.
- A desire to learn and use new technologies.
- Strong understanding of SQL programming and data architecture.
- Technical documentation.
- Ability to work with Marketing and Product development teams providing them with alternative workflows and interfaces.
- Strong understanding of OWASP top ten security vulnerabilities.
Candidates must have demonstrated excellent oral/written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to support interaction with internal customers, team members, and internal management. The candidate must have demonstrated an ability to work in a fast-paced / dynamic team environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong Java or C or C++ programming skills.
- Andoird application development experience.
- Oracle development experience (PL/SQL, reports, performance tuning).
- Experience working with large relational databases.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 6+ years development experience.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
