SSG2 - uninstalled Kies, now won't work after a update

Hi Everybody,
Got prompted to post a thread after I registered, otherwise I'd search the forum - forgive me this one time!

I uninstalled Kies this afternoon, accident, but it kept working fine. When I was able to get some WIFI and intall the update from the online notification, I have been unable to reboot, and the handset hangs at the Samsung splash screen. Any thoughts on what to do?
