Stand up is an excellent game of proximity. Your basic objective is to make all the cute little guys stand up and show you their belly while chuckling. Yup, that is your reward for getting them to stand up. The game works in a way so that whenever you touch a character the adjacent characters do the opposite of the current state. For example, you have three characters lined up in a column, the middle of which is sitting, while the first and last one are sitting. If you were to touch the middle character he would sit down, while the first and last would stand up because the middle character is adjacent to the other two. Meanwhile, if you were to touch the first character, he would stand, and only the middle would sit. The lesser the amount of moves you make the higher the score you get. Which is a notable feature, due to the fact that you can post your high score on an online leaderboard. The puzzles get rather complex with many characters coming on screen in various combinations. Although the game's challenge rises with the more characters you get on screen, the game's smooth presentation seems to slow down considerably. Even on a HTC Droid Incredible the game's animations seem to get choppy with the increase of on screen characters. Another omission noticed, is the lack of sound throughout the game. A peaceful musical score or some giggling children would have fit very nicely. Hopefully the developers of this wonderful game will be able to remedy this issue in a future update. The presentation of the game is neat and clean and the game is addictive and challenging. The paid version adds more levels to play, and is definitely worth it. We should all be so lucky to get more cleanly presented games from Infolife Products.
