Static Screen

I've found that at certain times my phone screen will suddenly go static or haywire in some other way. So far it has only happened when I've been on the web and not using other apps. I have tried rebooting my phone but no results. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is this a common glitch in this model and is it likely to get worse? I only bought this phone 4 months ago so it's still pretty new. It should not be dying already unless there is a fundamental glitch. Thanks for your help.

Did you drop the phone recently?

It's possible. I don't really remember because this has already been going on for a few weeks but even if I did I do have a case.
