Stay with t-mobile or go at&t?

I left Verizon for t-mobile when they offered the Etf fee reimbursement and have been satisfied with service so far. I pay $110 for 2 lines with unlimited on mine and 2.5gb on the other. The network is decent but definitely not what I had with Verizon. Now I see I can go to att and get 10gb shared for $115 with discount and use my current phones as well. I assume att has a superior network so is it worth switching? Anyone with any personal experience?

1) That's with the $25 discount per line, which you get if you had an account prior to February 2nd (or some time in early February). Otherwise 2 lines should run you about $180.

2) Which network gives you better coverage in the places you need coverage? A cellphone with no signal is a paper weight.

They changed up their plans that now if you BYOP, use AT&T Next or buy at full retail that you can get a 15 dollar discount per line if you buy less than 10GB of data, or 25 dollar discount if you get 10GB of more. It's actually really funny that with the prices the way they are, 10GB is cheaper than 8GB and the same price as 6GB.

Though I wouldn't change because AT&T doesn't offer anything close to the T-Mobile $30 dollar prepaid plan that's just too good to give up.

I wish I could use the $30 plan but the 100 minutes is a deal breaker for me. Yeah I priced the new plans today, $130 for 2 lines with 10gb shared. Not a bad deal.

What percent discount are they offering and is it on the whole plan or just the data bucket?

Well its true with the prices but you can make deals also cause the T-Mobile over here just open and they matching deals for switching and getting this money I hope they Dont act up when things get good you no the cheating cause I have all the customers. I am waiting on T-Mobile with this lg g2pro . but I hope they have better deals cause T-Mobile has many plans out . something new called bright spot 50.00 unlimited its with target
But key words TRY to TALK them down .:D

ahh, makes sense. It would be a lot nicer if it would apply to the whole bill. :D

If I were to switch to this plan with my GF, it would run us 120 for two phones and her tablet. Right now, we pay 60 for our phones and nothing for her tablet. So it would basically double our bill.

Are the 100 minutes adequate for you or do you use Internet calling or a voip?

That's whatzzz up. they got us cause if you paying on phones and the data plus the plan adding it all up the carrier is getting it all. then when u trade the phone in to upgrade they sell it as a refurbished so the carrier is yelling win win win before we walk in the door to join in on the deals and they know we need them :D

I've only ever gone over the minute mark once, but I keep the account loaded with some extra cash to cover it in case I do. If I know something is going to be a long call and I have good wifi or lte, I'll do it VoIP. But I admit that I don't use the calling feature very much. Another helpful trick for people who you know is to make a hangouts call and just disable video on both ends because it gives you much better quality.

Nice. I had tried that plan but I use way to many minutes. Tried groove ip but quality wasn't that great. Awesome plan though.

This is what I'm using now. The $30 prepaid plan with GrooveIP. For me it's working fairly well but it seems the person who I have the worst quality with is the wife. When talking to her she keep saying I'm breaking up, but others we seem to hear each other much better.

I hardly use the Tmo minutes. I just switch to the new month and I had only used like 3 minutes. I guess I need to use them more until it gets close to the 100 minutes mark.

Does anyone know if there is a way to keep track of the VoIP minutes? I'm curious around how many of those minutes do I use per month.

The cellular network should allow mobile users to do like the solar electric. We should be able to sell all unused data or use as a roll over . cause I know the average user Dont use a GB of data a month its no way  and when you ask a carrier to explain how they determine this they always play as if their hearing aid isn't loud enough . but I can say they are ripping us off .

Both lines. I use around 400 or so. I'm not sure if I could change now back to the prepaid buy I'm gonna think it over.

Do you have wifi at work or at home or both?

Do you make alot of calls on the road, at work or at home?

Because even if you use alot of minutes, if there is a wifi connection where you make a majority of your calls, or if you have a strong LTE connection, you may not use all those minutes at all. I use my phone at work but we also have landline phones for our building. I'm not a hermit and I do go out and more and more restaurants, malls, stores have wifi. It's getting to the point where my wifi "list" is huge and I can go in the restaurant and have wifi connect and I don't have to use any minutes..Today is the 21st and I still have 100 minutes remaining. I'm on the $30 ppd plan/100 talk minutes/unlimited text/unlimited data (5gb cap at 4g speeds). I use Google Voice with Spare Phone app.

This plan isn't for everyone but alot of people could benefit from it without realizing it.

The huge downside to all of this is that in May 2014, Google won't allow these types of apps to continue using Google Voice. (At least it is prepaid so I'm not locked down to a contract ;))

I make a great deal of my calls on the road unfortunately and calls over data are not up to par where I live.

I assume if you move to AT&T they will force you into a 2 year agreement as well. Not sure on that because you're bringing your own phones so you might want to check on that.

You won't get better coverage than Verizon but then again you pay less with everyone else.

So you need to do your research and see if AT&T has a lot of towers where you live and travel.

I personally would never go AT&T. I like T-Mobile because where I live I get solid 4G coverage and the price is well within my budget. I was on Verizon up to Dec of last year and yeah the coverage was better but I rarely traveled and was paying a hell of a lot more than I am now.

I hear that! Verizon's coverage was great for me but got sick of the big bill and capped data! Tmobile is working out so far so I'm gonna stick with it for now! I know at&t will have slightly better coverage in my area but Tmobile is still slightly cheaper for me. I believe the AT&T plan I spoke about is also a no contract plan. I dont think i'd ever sign a 2 year agreement again!

Explain your: The network is decent but definitely not what I had with Verizon

Are you getting minimum of 4G at your house and work and your surrounding area?
