I came to this reading a thread about mes battery, i also have struggled since dec. of 2010 with this so i want to read up and see what root will do and also wondering if US cell galaxy III ( which will be my next phone depending on reviews) is going to be able to root if i end up liking a rooted phone.

Yes you will be able to root it, depending on your carrier you will use, check the all things rooted section for SG III

All most all phones can be rooted. Just make sure you are doing it for the right reasons. There are a lot of things that can be done without rooting - Hello and welcome to the forum.

The best place to get rooting information on a specific device will be inside its area of discussion.

Great thanks for the welcome and i am going to root the mesmerize to get a feel for it so if things go wrong then i will head to us cellular and grab the Galaxy III but i like the mes still and hope rooting will make it seem like a new experience as when it was new, well im off to do plenty of reading and research first.
