stock apps

I looked around and haven't found a thread on this so sorry if it is posted already, is there a place to see what the applications on the phone are when you buy it? I have a rooted phone and it did not have a text app or internet browser when I bought it, I have tried a couple apps from the market but would really like to have the stock apps back on the phone.

Stock apps differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. It seems that your phone has been rooted and customized to some extent. To get the stock apps back, you need to re-flash the stock firmware into the phone. What device do you have?

it is a Droid incredible 2 running cynigenmod. I don't want to reflash and go back to factory settings all I want back is the original internet browser and the original text app. I really liked go SMS pro untilled I realized I couldn't receive pictures from some body unless they also have the same app. seems like there would be a place to download and reinstall those 2 apps. possibly android market if I knew what to look for.

If you are talking about the stock HTC Apps, they come with Sense and therefore you need the stock firmware. If you mean the stock apps that come with Cyanogen, the ONLY way I know is that you need to reflash the cyanogenmod as well. This is why one should never really delete the stock apps, because you need to reflash usually to get them back.

I was looking for the stock HTC apps. o well there are plenty of replacement apps I will find one I like, its not that big of a deal that I want to set my phone back.

No you don't. Get an account over on xdaForums and post a request for the APKs specific to your device. Almost guaranteed that someone will have them. Since you're rooted, it's then a simple matter to push them to your phone or manually install to /system/app or /data/app.

AFAIK its quite dependent on the stock apps he is looking for. For instance the Stock Samsung SMS app has dependencies on the TouchWiz system which I would expect to be present in the Sense apps. Getting an apk without the dependencies would not ensure.they work or not.

That's correct, but apps compiled and signed as "system apps" take that into account and will install with all the proper dependencies... as long as they are for the correct device. Of course, if some of those dependencies are also MIA... that's another issue.
