Stock music player vs Google Play Music

Two huge disadvantages with Google Play Music: one, it takes forever to upload to cloud then download to device, and two - the BIG one - all music loads to USB storage which on the Galaxy Player is 5GB. Specs say it will support 32GB micro SD, and it will, but cannot move music and playlists there from USB. Advantage: easy to manage playlists

Stock player: simply cut and paste from iTunes to SD card (if your PC has a reader or you use external one) after setting up Playlists. Mount microSD into device, and open with stock player. BIG disadvantage: all music goes to one playlist, but you can copy tunes to the Playlists created on PC. They show up. Very tedious, though.

I like Google Play, but unless they make it easy to move files from USB to external SD, gonna have to stick with stock player.

Hi

Play music will let you move files that you have paid for, but not those that are downloaded and cached locally as part of your subscription. I have 13Gb of non drm files on my external sd card which play music happily reads and finds in searches
