Help Stock SMS randomly stopped downloading mms messages

Had my One X for a while now, and I haven't had much to complain about except random glitches here and there, nothing too big. But I noticed that when someone sends me pictures, they do not download through the stock messages app (but I can send pictures just fine).. Before then, they came in fine. Then sometimes they didn't download, and I would ask the sender to resend. It would usually work. Now I cannot download them at all, no matter how many times they resend. So I resorted to GoSMS Pro. And only then do the pictures come in when I press "download" in GoSMS... Any suggestions that I could try to fix this? I don't like having apps just for one reasons like these... Use Handsent I prefer it much better.

Just trying to keep as less apps as possible with this phone. My last one I sort of messed up with all the things I had on it. This one I'm not doing that unless I am actually going to use the app frequently, less clutter, etc.

I am the same way, I use my Xoom for heavy data use and keep my phone clean but I find that since I am a heavy text user, hand sent is far superior to the stock app IMHO.
