Help Stop auto screen rotation

This is sorely need feature.

I often read in bed, ebooks and browse the web. When doing so I like to lay on my side and thus the phone is "sideways" which puts it in landscape mode, but since I am also on my side I need it to display in portrait mode.

It is completely usless as a reader for me without being able to do this!

I have tried all of the "stop rotation" apps in the Market and they do not work with the XT.

Omg!!! I was going to post something about this problem too!!! LOL.

I have the same exact problem. It makes me want to throw my XT at the wall. I've just gotten used to reading laying on my back. I guess that is the only solution with regards to using the XT.

go to the market and download the screen rotation toggle widget by curvefish. it does work wonders. it still allows application based screen rotation though, so it's not always going to work but it is a major start.
