Help Stop background sync when on call

Not rooted. Using Verizon network extender.
I have narrow bandwidth. If I'm on a call and a background sync is working then my call goes garbled. If I shut off ALL background syncing on Aquamail, Gmail etc the call is fine.

Is there an app that detects if on a call and pauses or stops the syncing?
I don't want to have to turn on/off syncing every time I need to make a call.

I don't have this issue, but maybe you can just turn off data when making a call.
Hopefully someone will have a better/easier solution.

I don't currently use one, but there are tasking apps (Tasker is the 1st to comes to mind) that you can set up to do things like this. You should be able to set it to turn off data at the start of an incoming call then turn it back on when the call ends.

I looked in Tasker on my un-root-ed Droid Maxx.

I think you just want to turn Airplane mode on and off to disable and then enable the network connection.

This is marked as not supported after Android 4.2 unless you have an add-in installed and are root-ed.

I don't have the add-on and I am not root-ed.

Solved. Used Automatit from the Play Store. Seems to work fine.
Trigger turns off sync when dialing or on call. Trigger turns it back on when off the call.
