Stop Game Updates

How do I stop updates for games slots and etc, if I don't use my tablet for several weeks as soon as it boots up it seems like it wants to do a couple dozen updates for games
 
In play open the menu by tapping the pancake stack icon (three horizontal bars) ont he top left of the screen. Choose settings and the top option is Auto-Update apps. Tap this and you can choose wheter or not they will autoupdate.
