Help Stop last three searches appearing on phone

When I go into the search function on my phone it shows the last three things I searched, how do I stop those from appearing? I've literally tried everything I can think of and this is really frustrating me now

Are you referring to google search or internal file search? I know there is a way to clear google search suggestions
