Stopping usage alerts

Today I got a text AND an email from Verizon letting me know that I had used half my voice minutes. In the email I clicked on the link to change my preferences and... no choice to stop usage alerts.... I called Verizon and the rep couldn't find that option for a while but called me back when she found it.

It's on your main My Verizon webpage under the green bar showing your usage. Manage Minutes Alerts. The reps can't change it for you.

First off on your main page you see this

You can click the little + to expand and you click on Manage Text Alerts

From there you come to this page

On this page you uncheck the things you don't want to be alerted about and this should prevent those alerts.

I had the text and email for her phone. Saying she'd used 50% of text messages. Which considering there were 2 more days on the billing cycle, didn't seem to warrant the APB.
 
I got it fixed but wanted to look at it again and it was a royal pain to get there. This is the URL I ended up at. It may help others with this problem.

It's understandable, as the Verizon Account Overview, can be daunting to some, and not clear by what it is trying to show the Account Holder.

I often find myself just using the search bar in the top right to find anything, or even Google Searching just because there are so many options to choose from in the Account that i can never find the right thing i am looking for, I am glad you got your issue solved though.
