Storage/Memory Problem

link2sd bro. see when you move an app to the sd card you only move the apk and lib files. you need link2sd pro to link the entire app to the sd cache, data and all. also you'll need to partition your sd card to make this work
i used minitool partition wizard. but i think Aparted app works fine.

Oh I know and I have pro. Apos2sd u don't need a pro tho & has a partition tool included within the apk. the developer is from xda . Vicky Bonick

Aparteds OK to depending on you're phones build it may or may not work. but most TWRP and even son CWM have partition tools if you have no PC like myself.
I've been there before. world pc. always made it harder to get out of a tight spot without one. or without a second phone/sd card and wifi available. smh. i once went a week with no os on my galaxy2 stuck out in the country with nothing and no way to get nothing. finally talked the neighbor kiss into loaning me his phone so i could download a Rom on my sd card and flash it. it sucked.

Damn, lol ya that sucks. I had to use my moms phn to download Xperion ROM on my SD for my F6. I didn't realize that having TWRP meant I could run a ROM at the time lol. I messed my phone up changing boot animations & fonts within ROM Toolbox Pro. I've been roming & flashing away ever since lol. I looooooove custom kernels tho. idk just my fav of all flashable zips/apk toys to play with etc. Nt much of a gamer tho. I have a Nintendo emulator for my fav game Tecmo Superbowl. and there's like all kinds of versions for it on and for an Android.

Ya idk ive had to cards burn out on me. but its prob due to my re-partitioning so often and running swap on the cards as well. Myself I use to partition & run these sweet "SD hacks" buy a cat called Warranty Voider in the forums here. But ya the hack were only for the LG F6 & I don't own that device any longer. They were bad ass tho for real. His (Data on SD) hack was my fav. You would literally see how even many Gigs of memory you added with what you partitioned it to right there in settings/storage. My F6 had like maybe I wanna say 2 2 & a half gigs stock. if I created say a 7 gig partition off a 16gig SD card then I could turn my internal memory into 9 gigs. & it would literally read 9gigs instead of 2 within storage under settings options. lol Ya they could be a lil tricky to run at first & didn't run well on anything but a class 10 so that's what I meant by the class 10 thing. So you say partition isn't hard on SD cards a? hmmmmm maybe I've been miss informed a lil. You should get with bcrichster in the forums here and he can tell you more about what I don't know enough about partitionings downsides. Like I stated I use to partition & run links2sd pro and apps to SD all the time. But then realized I'm nt a gamer and I would have a crap ton of memory I didn't need. then I heard it wasn't really good on you're SD card to do it anyway I stopped. But I'm gonna do some research & if it comes back that partitioning you're SD and using Links2 or Apps2 SD arent the least bit rough on a cards lifespan, I'm biotin into TWRP after I upload my sd's contents to mega & partitioning my 32 g sandisk class 10 & downloading either Links2SD PRO. or Apps to SD which is almost identical to links2sd. even had its own partition tool incase you're recovery doesn't have the partitioning option.

I'm not much of a gamer, either! For my phones, I've never used anything larger than a 5 GB ext4 partition for Link2SD. So far, I've never installed more than 30-40 apps on my phones. The lower/mid range devices can only run so much before system RAM is nearly full, and the amount of CPU cycles spike up. Too much of either can slow down the device. I don't think I'll go bigger than 5-6 GB for Link2SD on my G Stylo if I decide to root it. As I said before, I don't move any data onto the ext4 SD card partition. To add to what I said earlier, I've experienced app slowdowns and crashes/freezes while doing it. If data stays internally, then the device runs like it normally should.

I totally agree on the crashing tip

Hey guys!!
I had the same problem and there is a simple fix that nobody seems to be aware of. I just got the info from my Cricket rep 2 weeks ago and wanted to make sure it worked before posting here. It does. The problem is with LG's latest software update - it keeps filling up your already limited memory with junk no matter what you do.
To fix: - backup phone - perform factory reset - when going through the setup screen DO NOT AGREE TO SOFTWARE UPDATES FOR LG. They will be two boxes close enough together to be displayed on the screen at the same time. You will be allowed to proceed WITHOUT CLICKING AGREE - enjoy your properly working phone! It's been working flawlessly for me for two weeks now and I even have more apps installed than I did before. Good luck!
