Hello,
I have an old Samsung SGS2 on which I have installed Cyanogenmod 10.1.3.
Recently, everything seems to be going wrong: I can't install new apps and Google sync is no longer working. It seems that I don't have enough free storage space on the device.
I tried two things:
1. When I go to Settings -> Storage I see the following
INTERNAL STORAGE Storage space is running out
- Total space 1.97 GB
- Available 110 MB
- ...
INTERNAL STORAGE Storage space is running out
- Total space 11.50 GB
- Available 5.12 GB
2. I installed the DISK USAGE app, which gives a graphical hierarchical display of the device's storage space. This displays the following:
App Storage 2015 MiB
- Applications 1224 MiB
- System data 681 MiB
- Free space 109.9 MiB
Storage: 11780 MiB
- Sygic (GPS) 4016 MiB
- Android 752 MiB
- Titanium 506 MiB
- log 179 MiB
- ...
- Free space 5239 MB
I don't understand the differences between the two reported sets of storage space figures, one for 2015 MB and the other for 11780 MB. What's the difference? Why can't I use the 5239 MB of free storage. This is all located on the device's internal flash ROM storage, right?
I notice the GPS Sygic app is not included in the 2015 MB "App Storage", but is included in "Storage". I had requested via App Management that this app should be moved to the external SD card. Yet, here it is still installed on internal storage.
Can anyone explain this, or point me to somewhere that explains it?
Many thanks,
Paul
