Storage

I'm new to Android and have been downloading apps; I recently got a message that says I have insufficient storage. I checked in settings and I have a few kb left in phone memory but 50+ gb in my sd card memory. How do I solve this issue? Not sure if I can direct where the app is saved? Is it possible to redirect certain files to be saved in the phone's memory and certain files to be saved in my sd card?

If you go to SETTINGS > APPLICATION MANAGER > DOWNLOADED, you can select which apps to "Move To SD Card".
This doesn't move the entire app to the card, but,it will move some of the data to it,freeing up internal memory.

If you go to settings/applications/application manager and go through your downloaded applications one by one, some of them will let you re-locate them to your sd card. They will all have a button for doing that but on some the button will be grayed out.
