Straight Talk charged my card even though I had service from bought cards

I cannot believe this crap. I used cards I bought to add time to my account up until 4-16. I still have the text from them telling me it was paid up until then. I'm using the cards because I don't want my cc charged at all and only have it on there in case I forget to buy a card. Well they charged my card anyway, on 3-16, and now my end date is 5-16. Is there any way to avoid this? I can't take my credit card off the site-it won't let me. I posted on their facebook page and also sent an email but if I ever wanted to quit ST would they just keep charging me anyway? I am so ticked off right now.

Apparently there is no way to cancel auto refill, no way to remove a credit card, and even if you buy a ST card and add it to your account, no way to prevent them from charging your credit card anyway. I need to find a way to get a one time use number from my cc company.

eta: I tried calling and none of the options are for talking to a person or canceling auto refill. Since the card i have on file is one that I don't use for anything right now, I am just going to give them a day to fix this and then I'll call my credit card company and have the card number changed. That way they can't charge me. I guess if they try and fail, and cancel my service because of it, I'll switch to another provider. Even VM gave the option of removing all credit card info from your account. Too bad they had terrible coverage near me.

If you ever get to talk to a rep they can remove it. If not just go into your account details and change the expiration date on that card to last month, or anytime in the past. The next time the system tries to access the card it will see an expired card and remove it automatically.

If you ever decide to leave ST make sure to do this before you port out or cancel. Otherwise you won't be able to get into your account sinse it's cancelled, but they will probably still charge the card.

Regardless of whether you can with around this issue by changing the expiration date on a listed card, a system designed to make it difficult to remove payment methods, or cancel automatic payment for a service not provided under contract, gives Straight Talk a scummy/scammy feel. I'm glad I used a temporary number from my card issuer when signing up for auto pay. When I no longer want auto pay (could be soon), I'll make sure to cancel the number first.

I remember years ago with AOL... couldn't cancel the service.... So I added a new CC with a slightly bogus number..... AOL responded with a note that if I didn't fix my payment plan they would cancel my account.... Worked for me... Cheers...

Well they actually did disable auto refill! After all of the complaints I was skeptical but the key was using their facebook support page. I found that using facebook was more effective with our tracfones as well. So now I'm not raging anymore (lol) and will stick with ST. For now.
