Help Strange backlight behavior

I noticed that since the Marshmallow update, the backlight goes insane in full sunlight. Regardless whether it's on auto adjust, it goes full blast then immediately goes dark, basically changes rapidly from very bright to medium light. This only happens when I walk outside. I have a stock, unrooted 6.01 for T-Mobile. Anyone else noticed this behavior?

Thanks, but it's pretty annoying, it should just stay at full brightness when outside, especially if I turn off the auto-dim.
