I am currently using an HTC One M9, and since yesterday I've been encountering some strange problems with the phone crashing. I went to look at my phone, but noticed that the screen was completely black. I had to hard reset the phone by pressing the power and volume buttons. The phone rebooted, and worked fine until I locked the screen. The same issue occured where the screen turns completely black and I have to hard reboot the device.
What I've discovered:
-The issue only occurs after I click the lock button
-Battery is labeled as "Good" in the info menu
-If I hit the lock button at the right time, the phone reboots and gives a crash log
-The issue doesn't occur when the phone is plugged in
-The issue doesn't occur when the phone is on low battery
What I've tried:
-Completely reset device from TWRP
-Loaded older backup
I think its a problem with the battery, but the issue is so strange, I can't make a judgment call. Can anyone try to explain what is happening here? Any help would be appreciated.
