Can anyone help. Here is what happened in the order it happened.
[phone is a BLU Energy X - running Android lollipop]
1. Yesterday, I launched PDF Maps app which was downloaded from the motorcycle group e-mail I'm in.
2. Used the app fine all day. Offline GPS system.
3. When I got home that night, I noticed this icon at the top of the phone...
4. Then I discovered that all of my text messages both incoming and outgoing, photos, and phone log history have disappeared.
5. I tried, taking out the battery, sim card, sd card and rebooting. Didn't work.
6. I took a screen shot and tried to open it. I got a message on the screen that said "cannot open media while in Guest Mode".
What is guest mode and how to do I get rid of it? I've not installed any app that's called guest mode and I've not activated anything like it that i know of.
Is this related to the offline gps app that I used?
Any help gratefully received.
