Stream from Mac to Android TV

Hi,

I want to stream from Mach (Sierra 10.12.3) using the latest Chrome browser version to an Android TV (Philips 49PUS7181, latest firmware installed).

First I had some trouble streaming a tab. It streamed, but there were a lot of errors on the TV screen. After changing the resolution of the mac, it worked.


But Desktop Streaming won't work. I always getting an error like "Stream error. Please try again".


Can anyone help?

Presumably the Philips TV doesn't support Apple Airplay by itself? Because Airplay is what Macs usually use streaming and screen-casting. Airplay being a proprietary Apple protocol.

I know of one app that does Airplay in Android, Happy Cast, but it's only in Chinese and not on Google Play Store. Maybe there are other apps that do have Airplay compatibility, try searching Play Store for "Airplay".
