When out and about I'd like to use my S2 as an NAS / DLNA / UPnP Media Server to server my iPad just as an extra space thing.
I have a dlna media server (MediaServer) installed on the S2 and can stream to the iPad no problems when they are both connected to the home wi-fi.
So i thought about wi-fi tethering - and installed FoxFi on the S2 (no root). However it appears althouth the tether works (the iPad can browse), the phone itself isnt actually on the wifi network (like an access point would be) and the streaming no longer functions - its just not visible on the hotspot network.
Has anyone managed such a feat?
