Streaming interrupted

Hello folks,

I listen to radio using the apps like Tunein Radio and similar. In past, it used to work without any issues, but lately I restored my phone to factory settings and must have lost some tweak. Nowadays, streaming radio keeps disconnected after a song or two. This is not a problem with certain app or the radio station. I tried playing cousin's iphone next to my HTC One X and it would play without any problems. So network is not an issue either (Both were on same wi-fi network).

Does thing ring bell to anyone? Has a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Is the screen off during disconnecting? Only thing I can think of is a power saving app or setting. Those stuff usually disconnects the internet after the screen turns off.

I don't have an HTC so I can't check. Samsungs have a power savings menu in settings though.

Or maybe you have a 'battery extender' app.

wifi is probably sleeping when the screen is off

check settings, wireless and networks, wifi, hit menu, tap advanced, check to see if wifi is set to 'always on'

I have exactly the same problem with Tunein Radio and another radio app on a Nexus 10 tablet. Interruptions occur every few minutes, even with the screen on. I see the message "Loading 23%...34%...60%..." Sometimes it recovers and continues where it left off (time delayed), sometimes it never seems to recover. It's especially annoying when I'm listening to the news and bits get left out or the announcer quotes the wrong time because he's out of sync with reality.
Six months ago (or so) I didn't have this problem.
