Im looking to rip movies and stream them to my chrome cast . I have a note 4. Any direction on the best way to do this. I have a ton of DVDS and lm running on a MacBook Pro. Thank ya!
HandBrake is the most common tool for DVD ripping on Macs. I've only tried about 4 such DVDs, and was only successful with two of them. It takes time to develop expertise, and so far I haven't done this. You probably want to configure HandBrake to produce 'mp4' files.
For streaming from my Android phone, I've been pretty happy with AllCast, which is a paid app with a free demo.
As I said, it can be difficult to use Handbrake, depending upon how the video tracks are formatted. For beginners like us, fewer tracks are better. If you own Field of Dreams, try that. It worked for me.
