Streaming MP3 from PC to Phone?

Newbie here. Did a search for this but didn't find anything. If there is another post, I'd appreciate a link, thanks.

So, I have a Samsung Galaxy Precident (yep, the Smarttalk/Walmart one) and have recently discovered that Just Playlists uses M3U files to point to streaming audio to play on my phone.

I start thinking that I could use one of these M3U files to point to the mp3 collection on my PC and stream these over the wifi to my phone when I'm home. Been looking to see how to create an M3U file to point to my PC collection, but seems that Just Playlists will only create from files on the phone....unless I just haven't figured out how to point it to the PC.

Is there an app or program to automatically do this? I have about 5000 mp3s on the PC and doing it manually on notepad ain't happening...

Thanks,

While it may not handle the m3u playlists you desire, Gmote may do exactly what you are looking for (PC->phone over wifi).

Try the apps Qloud or Plex. Both require desktop servers be installed on the computer. I like Qloud the best and use it daily.

Actually, you can use VLC and VLC Direct Pro, which both apps are on the Android Marketplace to download and use. Make sure that you have VLC Media Player installed onto your computer. Select 'View'--->'Add Interface'-->'Web interface'. Once you do this, you can set your playlists up and stream all the digital content that you have setup on your computer and home wi-fi network.

This is by far the best one and way to be able to stream everything to your phone as i do on a daily basis.

Download Splashtop. Go to the Amazon app store and get it for free today. Not only good for music, but it enables you to access everything on your home PC on your device. Music, videos, files, and just about anything else. Great app and free today on amazon.
