Accessories Streaming on TV through a mobile/tablet

Hello,
I have come here to ask for a solution to a situation I have encountered.
The thing here is that I am, with several family members, in a house at the mountains. This means low signal and obviously no Internet. But we would like to bring movies either in our tablets or smartphones and stream them in a TV. We have tried to connect via USB any device and set PTP or MTP, but nothing is working.
So, I would like to ask if there is any creative solution to our problem. I have thought of Chromecast, as I have experience with it in my house, but it requires Internet. Is there any kind of solution that would fit this?
Thanks.

What's the TV, make and model? Some TVs you can stream directly to from the device, no broadband Internet required. What's available depends on where you are though, what country?

If the TV has USB ports and can play movies from USB flash-drives or hard-drives. Probably your easiest option is to copy the movies to a USB flash-drive and play them directly with the TV. A TV with USB won't support devices that use MTP or PTP though. The TV requires USB storage devices to be FAT formatted and accessible as removable media, e.g. USB flash-drives.

Do the tablets have HDMI video out? The tablet I've got here does have HDMI, and can just use a HDMI cable straight to the TV.

To do anything with wireless screen-casting would require a WiFi router, and things like Chomecast require internet access as well.

Most phones have it in the quicksettings pulldown to cast. It will basically mirror your screen onto the TV that has the Chromecast in it.

Another option is Google Play Movies and some content on NetFlix allows for offlin content. So you could cache movies to your phones and / or tablets and use chromecast to watch them on TV.

@Unforgiven I don't have internet access so this Chromecast option is not possible.
@mikedt They don't have HDMI out. Now that I read your reply... Is there a way to connect a USB flash-drive to an Android? A conversor of some form? If it's a yes, it'd do the job: plug it to the phone, move the movie to the flash-drive, plug the last to the TV-USB port.
Is it possible?

This is really true, I've never heard about this that can you stream without internet connection.

Actually I think that Chromcast + a wifi router should be enough.
You don't really need internet access, just a wifi router to transfer data from phone to chromecast.
I may try some tests next days with the router's WAN connector unplugged.

Movies on USB seems easiest. But begs the question that without internet connection how are you getting the movies in the first place?

I had the same problem, because I travel a lot and sometimes in a hotel I don’t have a good signal of wi fi or I don’t have it at all. But now I take with me fire stick and I can watch pre-downloaded movies on torrents through my phone via bluetooth without a router. Here are some which I use . Now it's an indispensable thing in my luggage.
