Streaming sports

I was in the pub the other night and a mate wipped out a jailbroken iphone4 and was streaming Sky Sports (UK sports premium sports channel) via an app.

Not wanting to be out done by his iphone i had a look about for a similar android app but couldnt find anything for live streaming of sports from the UK. The closest I got was tvcatchup.com which is only freeview channels and doesnt include any sports channels.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Watching live sports (= streaming video) over mobile connections (2G, 3G, CDMA, etc.) your friend will rapidly approach, and exceed, his carrier's "fair use policy" cap for data. Things could get very expensive after that.
I recommend you do data-intensive stuff like that only over WiFi to avoid that.
