Streaming video from PC to Android help

So it dont matter if i use Divx Player or PS3 media server on my PC , when i go to stream a 720p MP4 video to my nexus 5 it plays fine but if i go t play it on my Galaxy Note 8 which i have a MHL cable for it plays choppy. It sucks cause the MHL cable dont work with my N5. Why would it work on the N5
and not on the Note 8 . oh and the video plays on the PS3 but i dont wanna play it on that . cause the ps3 stays in one room and the Tablet i can put it in any room. I thought it may be a Ram or processor issue but the Note 8 should be more powerful then the PS3 right?

Well idk how i stumbled upon a thread from another site but someone suggested Dice Player, and the person said it solved there problem so i gave it a shot ,thinking will im wasting my time is MX and VLC can play the video right how is the going to work, but it works i can play the video smoothly on my Note 8.
