Street view grayed out!

Street View is grayed out and not working on Latitude. It used to work until we all got new smart phones recently.

Already Tried: every button I could think to try on my HTC sensation, does this mean that the street button does not work for friends anymore?

Street view will only work if latitude is reporting an exact address(actually gives an address number and street) for your friend. If it is just giving you a general location, that generally means its using the cell towers to approximate their location.

Thanks for that, this must be a new setting then as it only started around a month ago, I guess this encourages people to check in.

Yeah it is new, Google has said latitude is still a work in progress so features are coming and going
