Root Stripped_Mod Custom Rom Mod For Cricket Score Users

Hi, I failed to install your rom to my ZTE score. I copied the rom file to the sd card, then boot the phone to the recovery mode (BTW, I used zerg batch files to root the phone). I wiped the data/factory reset, and cache partition. Then chose "apply update from sdcard". I got the error message as " signature verification failed, Installation aborted."

What's wrong with my installation? Looking forward to your reply.

i did try this rom. everything seemed to be working except for the google play market. some of the apps i had on my score where working fine. i tired re-installing them and got a notification saying (voxer for example ) this app is no longer compatible with your device. i tried google gapps from rom manager and could not get google play to work correctly. any ideas?

You need to install from the custom recovery for this phone Once you have the custom recovery installed choose install zip from sdcard. :)

Not to sure on this one I will look into it as soon as I get a chance. However I'm uploading an updated version of the rom in the next hour which should be ready for download soon after. I would try downloading the new one for now (once available). For now though try opening terminal emulator and typing "su" hit enter then type "fix" and hit enter (only type what's in the quotes and not the quotes themselves). This will fix permissions and might help. You might reboot after this. The voxer issue could be a lib file problem. I will check once I have a chance and see if I can help :)
 
Sorry for the triple post. The updated version is out. I recommend reading the notes on crt carefully it's still a little buggy for now. Also your most likely going to need to wipe data, cache and dalvik-cache. I recommend using titanium backup to backup any necessary data and/or apk's.

Was lookin into your issue and had a couple questions. The voxer prob is most likely due to the update it received on July 13th so I was wondering if you had tried installing it since then or just after the rom install? Also I was curious which version of the gapps you installed from rom manager as this could be the issue. Also most of the gapps missing from rom can easily be downloaded from play store as user apks. You should be able to get voxer download from somewhere other than play store. I find lots on apk top. Just hit the download from apk top link not the download from play store link. Anyway I hope I can help and let me know if you run into any issues with the new rom version. :)

Just put out a transparent update for the status bar dropdown. Just look for the Blue Glass Dropdown link right under rom install instructions on original post. Enjoy :)

Ok I've updated old post with an odexed version of rom. Updated links to both versions can be found under rom install instuctions. Also I have updated the theme in framework apk with transparent pop-ups, and some ics images, along with a few other things. Link can be found under rom links. I've also started adding upload dates next to downloads to make it easier to know what's up to date. Hope this helps :)

Ok I've updated op with unthemed rom version and blue and pink MM themes.(check 2nd post for themes) Most all updates were only done to theme and apps were updated in rom. If you use the blue theme on your current stripped blue then you should be up to date so far. When using the pink theme for the first time on stripped blue mod I recommend using the theme remover first. Also I've changed build number from Stripped_Blue_Mod to Stripped_Mod in the rom. I've posted a zip to update QuickPic as the lib file has been updated as well. It can be found right under rom download. If you've already updated it as a user app just uninstall update then install zip from recovery. If you've updated it as a system app (and it's still the same name) just install zip from recovery and it will fix it. If your running odex version of rom use SystemCleanup to odex QuickPic after installing update. Hope this helps :)

EDIT: I've added an update for Zarchiver as the lib file was updated as well. Just follow same instructions for the quickPic update above. The download link is under the re updated quickPic download under rom download links. If using the MM themes uncheck Zarchiver until I have a chance to update the themes with the way the new Zarchiver apk is. Hope this helps :)

Ok Stripped_Mod_V2 is now posted in op. I've added most of the changes to the list of things in the rom and placed a √ in front of anything new to V2. This will visually look about the same however it's of course on the 06 baseband and has had my mods applied to the apks from that version(no I didn't re-use the old ones) plus other new tweaks have been added throughout rom. I've also fixed all the mentioned bugs with the last version(I think anyway) But I am looking for feedback on how video is doin on this version so I can try to get it up to par for everyone. Any feedback on anything is always appreciated though. Anyway hope this helps and enjoy :D

Edit: I will try and upload screenshots of how it looks on startup now in the next couple days. However they really won't look much different aside from the transparent app drawer so it's not top on my list right now.

Ok I'm real sorry my bad I made a big ol tired mistake. I just noticed the wrong mms.apk ended up in the rom instead of the one I listed in the op. My experimental mms.apk ended up in the rom and will fail on ya along with force closing when trying to go to settings in the apk. So I'm posting the one that was intended to be in it under the rom download. Please make sure to wipe cache and dalvik-cache before installing it in recovery it should work fine afterwards. For those on the odex rom the zip I've uploaded is a deodexed version of the apk but should still work fine for ya plus you should be able to re-odex it using system cleanup. If you run into any probs with it on the odex let me know and I'll see about posting an odex version as well. But it shouldn't be needed. Also if you currently have a failed message in the mms.apk then make sure to clear it out before installing the right one or you still won't be able to send a message till it's cleared. This is definitely why though I make sure to run what I upload. Once again I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and I will try to re-upload the rom today again as well with the right apk. And if you run into any probs with this just post here and I'll help ya out.

Ok I've re-uploaded rom now titled Stripped_Mod_V2.1 I will go ahead and leave the Mms.apk up for a couple days in case anyone got stuck with V2. After that it will be removed to cut down clutter on the post. Also at this point beings I'm apparently the only one who noticed the error I made and there's been no other comments I would say this rom has definitely lost it's popularity so probably won't be receiving to many more updates. But at this point all the bugs with the original I've noticed and others have pointed out have been fixed. Feedback is critical for the continuation of any project. Without feedback it makes hard to tell how to move foward with a project no matter who's workin on it. Anyway food for thought I guess. Hope this helps :)

New updates are up on op. Some of the new features are
I have pulled the cm7 mms apk and replaced it with the stock one (the cm7 one seems to fail overtime)
Mp3 BootSound (mp3 found in system media folder)
New Boot Splash added (thanks to Ovrdrive at cricketusers for his rle image work)
New power off sound
My init.d scripts.now keep a log that's replaced every boot (log can be found at /data/Tweak_Log.txt)

I have put a new update out with some cool new features and also put up my keyboard collection in an aroma installer for easy keyboard changes.

Renamed rom to S420Rom(this was after great deliberation and with good reason. And as all my Stripped Mods are updated they will be recieving the new simpler rom name)
Extended power menu now a 4-way power menu (reboot,hot boot, reboot to recovery, and shutdown)

system/apps and libs updated
Removed hacker's keyboard and replaced with the stock android keyboard
Removed my extra boot logo
Added ICS styled progress bars and sliders(gb green color to keep a stock feel)
