Stuck and restart

A new problem has risen lately, When my phone starts to overheat when I play or use apps for a long time, the screen freezes and after 5 sec restarts the phone. After the restart it doesn't recognise the sim, but if i shut it down for a minute or so it will recognise it.

I tried Factory reset, and the battery is new, anyone has any idea how to fix?

Your phone has thermal protection circuitry that prevents it from overheating to the point of causing damage. What you describe is exactly that.

If this is something that's only started since you replaced the battery, my guess is the battery itself is the problem.

The overheating is the problem. Have you made any modifications which might affect this, e.g. rooted and used a custom kernel, played with the temperatures at which throttling occurs? A phone should throttle when it starts to overheat in order to avoid thermal shutdowns like this, though if you make things hard for it (e.g. gaming while charging the phone) you might still push it to the limit.

And I see I've been ninja'd on my last question, but what I was going to ask is "has this started since you replaced the battery?". Because that's the one thing you've told us that might explain it.

well, i replaced the battery around 2-3 months ago and everything was smooth. it's an original battery, same as the old one..
but i had battery issues with another battery where it would just shut down and restart without getting my screen frozen, so i switched that battery as well...
could it be a malfunction in the thermal protection or something? is it fixable? i really dont think i need to switch batteries every 2-3 months, or is it because the phone is super old? around 4-5 years

It might be indicative of another component that's failing and generating a lot of heat in the process. Fixing any of the circuitry would most likely require the whole motherboard be swapped out. I'm not sure fixing this phone is worth the expense or effort. You could probably buy a used one for a lot less.
